Halloween Activities – Oct 31st

Halloween Fun!
Yikes! Halloween is on a Monday this year! That’s kind of a scary thing for both parents and teachers!
Here’s our plan to try to maximize the fun, but minimize the chaos during the school day:

  • Morning classes will take place like usual.
  • Students can bring costumes and change into them right after lunch.
  • At 1:15 pm we’ll have a Costume Parade for all classes in the gym. Parents and pre-school siblings are welcome!
  • Following the parade we will announce the winners of the Guess-The-Pumpkin-Weight Contest, and the Toonie Food Drive contest.  Pie-A-Teacher will then take place in the gym. If the Kindergarten Class is one of the winning classes, they will do their Pie-A-Teacher on a different day.
  • After the gym activities students will then return to their rooms for classroom Halloween activities.

Note: If you are bringing/sending Halloween treats to share, please check with your child’s homeroom teacher to find out about any allergy restrictions.

In keeping with School Division Policy, please remember that students may not bring pretend weapons as part  oftheir Halloween costumes.
